Where have the days gone? It just seemed like yesterday that the world welcomed 2013. Now, the 4th month of the year is beginning to start. Spring is here ladies and gents!

Right now, a lot of people are already planning a beach getaway or simply enabling themselves to get busy with other hobbies or activities while on vacation. One activity that seems to get more popular is yoga.
A number of actresses, models and well-known personalities have been bitten by the yoga bug– such as Reese Witherspoon, Adam Levine, Madonna, Gisele Bundchen, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jen Aniston.
I had the privilege of attending my first yoga class by Yoga for Life. Other than bringing yoga closer to its many enthusiasts, it also advocates AIDS awareness. It is the “first ever community-based yoga class series, specially designed for the needs of people living with HIV and AIDS, but open as well to others who support them and want to experience the beauty of yoga.”
Yoga has a lot of health benefits other than providing you some quality, serene time. There are several types of yoga– bikram yoga (practiced in a heated room), anusara (ideal for newbies), ashtanga (said to be best for type A personalities), hatha (great to calm nerves), and many more.
If you do find yourself willing to learn the ropes of yoga, be sure to do so with a certified practitioner or yogi. It has a lot of health benefits but if done wrongly, you may sustain injuries.
